ANALYTICS DASHBOARD REPORTING APPLICATION DATA POLICY
In addition to the personal data privacy information contained on the GDPR PAGE, which covers the policy for users of our website, this section details the bespoke dashboard reporting application that accesses our clients’ analytics information from Google Analytics.
The application interacts with the client’s Google Analytics account through a revocable OAuth consent process. This consent can be revoked or renewed at any time that the client choses. It also is provided for only a specific subset of information, defined as a scope.
The purpose of the application is in line with the Analytics Reporting API that Google provides, which is intended for the building of custom dashboards to display Google Analytics data, to automate reporting tasks to save time, and to integrate the Google Analytics data with other business applications. Nothing outside of this intent is performed.
IN THE SPECIFIC CONTEXT OF ANALYTICS DATA PRIVACY, IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THE FOLLOWING ABOUT THE APPLICATION:
1. SiteCampaign’s identity and intent are accurately represented to the client. At no time is this information shared with any other party than the client. The data is solely used for the information gathering explained on this page. The data is stored securely and is not available to any third parties or tools that are not the singular application owned by SiteCampaign.
2. There is only a single sensitive scope requested: WWW.GOOGLEAPIS.COM/AUTH/ANALYTICS.READONLY. This scope only allows the application to see and download the Google Analytics data of the client. This is a read-only operation and it does not allow SiteCampaign to manage the data on the client’s Google Analytics account, and therefore no mutation of the data can be done on the client’s account.
3. There are no restricted scopes requested.
