BOOSTING CONVERSIONS WITH ADAPTIVE PERSONALIZATION
LC Waikiki sought to increase their conversion rate and average order value with a focus on adaptive personalization. SiteCampaign provided them with a solution that was customized to fit their design and brand, while focusing on being an integrated part of the website experience. The solution features a Product Slider with product recommendations based on dynamic product algorithms that adapt and change during the visitor’s session.
When designing the solution, it was essential to fit into the customer journey and not disturb the overall customer experience. The Product Slider feature is triggered when a visitor browses multiple product pages, followed by specific signs of inactivity, and seeks to inspire with related products based on visitor browsing history.
A shown/not shown split was implemented, operating with campaign exposure for eligible visitors and a control group with no exposure in order to best measure the effects of the campaign.
The campaign showed a highly positive lift in conversion rates across all devices, with mobile being the top performer – delivering 85% of the total extra revenue generated during the test period. Visitors that saw the Product Slider SiteCampaign had a 5% higher average order value, and more significantly, a conversion rate 27% higher than the control group.
All in all, this Product Slider solution provided LC Waikiki with an ROI well over 50, and has become an integral aspect of the customer experience on their websites.
